Each tampon features Cotton Lock™ technology, a 360° security veil for added protection so no fibres are left behind.

Clinically tested, kind to sensitive skin and made without chlorine bleach, rayon, titanium dioxide, dyes or paraffin. Grown without pesticides.

Absorbency

Did you know that your tampon should always be soaked in blood when removed?

It's so important to use the right absorbency to suit your flow. Everyone's period flow changes throughout their menstrual phase. Here's a full breakdown of when to use each absorbency and remember to change your tampon frequently (we recommend every 3-4 hours):

Light Absorbency:

  • 🩸 <6 grams
  • Can be used for very light flow periods or towards the end of menstruation

Regular Absorbency:

  • 🩸🩸 6-9 grams
  • Can be used for medium flow periods or in the middle of menstruation

Super Absorbency:

  • 🩸🩸🩸 9-12 grams
  • Can be used for heavy flow periods or at the beginning of menstruation
Certifications

GOTS-certified organic cotton

Prepare

Wash your hands. Remove the tampon from its wrapper. Gently pull the string to make sure it’s secure, then spread the base of the tampon slightly to widen it.

Hold

Hold the base of the tampon between your thumb and middle finger, and place your index finger on the end.

Insert

Using your index finger, gently push the tampon into your vagina, angling it towards your lower back. Keep pushing until it’s comfortably in place and you can’t feel it, with the string hanging outside your body.

FAQ.

Are the tampons scented or bleached?

Definitely not. Our tampons are fragrance-free and made without chlorine bleach so you can trust that our products are kinder to your vagina.

Do your tampons contain artificial absorbents?

No, our tampons do not contain any artificial absorbents. They’re made with 100% organic cotton; no synthetic materials, no fragrance, and no nasties.

    Just natural, breathable protection.

How do the tampons compare to other brands?

For us, transparency is key. Which is why we tell you exactly what our products are made from.

Our tampons are made with 100% organic cotton and contain no synthetic fibres, fragrances or harsh chemicals. Unlike many mainstream brands that often use rayon, polyester or artificial absorbents.

With a plant-based applicator and biodegradable wrapper, they’re designed to be kinder to your body and our planet.

What are Riley tampons made of?

Our tampons are made from 100% organic cotton and free from pesticides, chlorine bleach, synthetic fragrances and dyes.

The tampon string is cleverly woven in during production, so unlike many mainstream brands, we never use glues or adhesives.

Our applicators are plant-based and made from sugarcane, a renewable resource that can be rinsed and recycled after use.

What tampon absorbency should I use?

    Super+ Absorbency:

    • 🩸🩸🩸🩸 12-15 grams
    • Can be used for very heavy flow periods or at the beginning of menstruation

What is Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)?

Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is caused by a reaction of blood and bacteria so while it can happen when a tampon is left in too long, it can also occur with any period product, including pads and reusable products like a menstrual cup and reusable pads. Something else that isn't widely known is that it can actually happen to men, women and children, so it can affect anyone.

We take all necessary precautions to make sure our products are top quality and are made without chlorine bleach, glues, pesticides or any other harmful chemicals like other mainstream brands. However, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that TSS will not occur due to it being a result of a bacterial infection from the blood.

Everyone needs to be extremely careful when it comes to TSS and we should be changing our period products every 3-4 hours.

Periods that don’t pollute.

5,500 plastic bags

The average person uses 11,000 mainstream tampons in their lifetime. That’s the equivalent to 5,500 plastic bags.

Polluting beaches

Period products are still the 5th most common single use plastics on Europe’s beaches.

800 years to decay

Mainstream pads are often made from up to 90% plastic and can last 800 years.

Riley is different

We exist to give you period care that’s cloud soft, made with your body in mind, and that doesn’t stick around for centuries.

Just the good stuff

All our products are made from 100% organic cotton, without pesticides, chlorine bleach, rayon or fragrances.

Caring globally.
